Pillars of the Polish Economy 2006
On 4 December 2006 Puls Biznesu and the international credit reference agency Coface held a gala during which the PILLARS OF THE POLISH ECONOMY awards were given. In the Lower Silesia Voivodeship the Pillar title was granted to Volkswagen Motor Poland from Polkowice. PCC Rokita took the second place.

The ranking is prepared each year by Puls Biznesu and Coface and aims at promoting and awarding companies of significance in their regions, not only due to the scope of their activities but also their significance for the local community.
According to the principles of the competition, a company that belongs to the circle of the Pillars of the Polish Economy is characterised by stable development, is of great importance in the region, creates new workplaces and actively supports the local community. According to Professor Wojciech Gasparski, Director of the Business Ethics Centre – A company-citizen has a mission to fulfil in the region.
The criterion nominees were selected based on a Coface’s rating considering the following factors: dynamics of sale, turnover and financial credibility. Afterwards the decision was taken by local authorities, media, local community and employees of the nominated company. PCC Rokita took the second place. This award confirms the high position the Company occupies in the region and its commitment to the local community.
